Classical Highlights Tour

 

Day 1 - Yangon - Arrive Yangon by International Flight in the Morning. You will be welcomed by our local tour guide and lead you to your hotel for check-in. After refreshment break, the tour starts with the city sightseeing in Yangon . The city tour shall include a mixture of life and culture. As Yangon is former colonial capital, you will see some of the interesting colonial buildings, the Royal Lake and Garden, The busy Yangon harbor with interesting working life, The Scott Market (optional for day-1), China town and The Great Shwedagon pagoda by before-sunset which is the day's highest moment and most important highlight of the tour. After the city tour you will be transferred back to your hotel and over night in Yangon . (Lunch & Dinner are additional option)

 

Day 2 - Bagan - Early morning transfer to Yangon international airport for domestic flight to Bagan, the birth place of our Myanmar culture. Upon arrival in Bagan, we will start our tour in order to avoid mid-day sun. The cultural intensive tour shall include a selection of temples with various interests and themes. At around mid-day, you will check-in to the hotel of your choice. In the Bagan tour, all major temples like Ananda Temple , Shwezigon Pagoda, Gubrauk-gyi Temple shall include in the program. The wonderful traditional lacquer ware making will be presented in a local family business along with the day's program. At evening time, relax and enjoy the legendary sunset of Bagan from a selected tranquil temple. Transfer to Hotel for over night in Bagan. (Lunch & Dinner are additional option)

 

Day 3 - Bagan & Mt. Popa - Continue the cultural trail of tour with more of life into it. Early morning Ballon over Bagan is one possibility to appreciate the temples from bird-eye view. Morning temple visits shall include beautiful small temples of Paya Thonzu with interesting mural paintings from 13 th Century. Drive to Mt. Popa , Myanmar Olympia or the abode of the powerful 37 Nats (Guardian Spirits). On your way to Mt. Popa , there is a chance to discover a village's life and toddy palm farmers' life. Transfer to Hotel for overnight in Bagan. (Lunch & Dinner are additional option)

 

Day 4 - Mandalay & Environs - Morning transfer for flight to Mandalay , the last royal capital of Myanmar . Upon arrival, we will drive towards Mandalay and on our way part of Amarapura town will be visited. In Amarapura, a large Buddhist Monastery is of real interest. The morning sightseeing shall include: Marble Buddha curving, gold leaf pounding and Mahamuni temple. Afternoon check-in to the hotel of your choice. After mid-day break, the tour starts for the Buddhist monuments program. It shall include: famous Golden Palace monastery, Precinct of the world largest book and Mandalay Hill. Transfer back to hotel and over-night in Mandalay . (Lunch & Dinner are additional option)

 

Day 5 - Mandalay & Environs - In the morning, you will enjoy and relax on the boat up streaming the Ayarwaddy ( Irrawaddy ) river to Mingun village. There in Mingun, you will encounter the largest things in life: Largest Buddhist unfinished temple, The world biggest ringing bell and the world's brightest Monk's statue. Travel back to Mandalay by boat and afternoon program to Sagaing starts after refreshment. In Sagaing, you shall see a Buddhist Nunnery, traditional silver smiths and some highlight pagodas. On the way back to Mandalay through Amarapura, you will have an opportunity to appreciate traditional silk and cotton weaving hand looms. Transfer to hotel for over-night in Mandalay . (Lunch & Dinner are additional option)

 

Day 6 - Pindaya Caves & Inle Lake - Morning transfer for flight to Heho in Shan state. From Heho, you will be traveling across the beautiful landscape of Shan highland to Pindaya where you will wonder the amazing natural limestone cave with over 8000 ancient Buddha statues. Driving back to Inle Lake and further with small motor-boat to your hotel on the lake. Over night stay at Inle Lake . (Lunch & Dinner are additional option)

 

Day 7 - Inle Lake - After breakfast, your beautiful tour will start on the natural paradise of Inle. You will certainly amaze by the one-leg rowers of Intha fishermen and floating tomato gardens which move with the waves. The days program include the Wet market on the lakeshore (depending on 5 day cycle), Inn-dain temple complex with excellent stucco art, Lotus weaving and silk weaving and Ngaphae Chaung Monastery famous for its collection of artistic old thrones and Jumping Cats. Transfer to your hotel for overnight at Inle. (Lunch & Dinner are additional option)

 

Day 8 - Yangon - Morning transfer for flight to Yangon . Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel and the rest of the day stands for your leisure and your own touring in the city. Overnight in Yangon.( You may also take your international flight back home in the evening without having an overnight in Yangon )

 

Day 9 - Farewell form Myanmar - You will be transferred for your international flight to your further or homebound journey. Myanmar bid you farewell and wishing to see you again. End of our service.

 

Lifestyle Highlights Tour

 

Day 1 - Yangon - Arrive Yangon by International Flight in the Morning. You will be welcomed by our local tour guide and lead you to your hotel. After refreshment, the city tour starts with a mixture of life and culture in Yangon . The city tour shall include: Busy Yangon harbor with life of workers, the contrast life in the streets of Yangon and in the Legendary Strand hotel, Lifestyle in Chinese community at China town, A market life in Yangon , The Great Shwedagon Pagoda and Buddhist way of life (Intensive study highlight). Transfer to hotel and overnight in Yangon . (Lunch & Dinner are additional option)

 

Day 2 - Bagan - Early morning transfer for flight to Bagan, the cradle of Myanmar civilization. Sightseeing program shall include selective temples like Ananda, Gubrauk-gyi and lifestyle tours such as Lacquer ware workshop (Major livelihood of the local people), a meditation monastery with young novices and students, A painter's hut, Typical Myanmar food stall, small village life to closely study family lifestyle etc. Overnight stay in Bagan. Day 3 - Bagan & Mt. Popa - Continue the lifestyle trail of tour with some spiritual beliefs into it. Early morning Ballon over Bagan is one possibility to appreciate the temples from bird-eye view. Morning drive to Mt. Popa , Myanmar Olympia or the abode of the powerful 37 Nats (Guardian Spirits) where you will study peoples secondary belief in spiritualism. On your way to Mt. Popa , you will discover a village's life and toddy palm farmers' life in a toddy palm wood. You shall also visit sandal wood garden on the Mt. Popa . Overnight stay at Popa Mountain Resort. Day 4 - Mandalay - Half-day drive to Mandalay , the last royal city of Myanmar . On the way, you shall have a chance to see cattle market, small morning roadside markets, irrigated rice plantation etc. Upon arrival in Mandalay , check-in to the hotel and the tour starts again after refreshment break. Afternoon program shall include Golden Palace Monastery with fine wood curving, the world largest book in a pagoda complex and Mandalay Hill. Overnight in Mandalay . Day 5 - Mandalay & Environs - After breakfast start the tour with Maha Muni Buddha statue which is the most revered Buddha shrine in Myanmar and thus you will study the piousness of the Buddhist. The day's program stretches to two neighboring former royal cities: Amarapura and Sagaing. You shall be exposed to: A large Buddhist monastery where young monks are studying Buddhist literatures, famous weaving works in Amarapura, Marble statue curving, A visit to earthen pottery quarter in Sagaing, A visit to traditional silver smiths and A Buddhist nunnery where Buddhist nuns stay and study. Before sunset you will be visiting the Taung Thaman Lake in Amarapura and strolling on the world longest Teakwood bridge, U Bein Bridge and study the life there. Overnight in Mandalay . Day 6 - Kyaing Tong - Morning stroll in Mandalay and you have a chance to join the locals in famous Mandalay Tea Shops. Before-noon transfer to airport for flight to Kyaing-Ton (Keng-Tong) in eastern Shan state. Upon arrival and after hotel check-in, a small tour in this shan prince's town will bring you to Naung-Ton lake in the middle of the town. You shall walk around the lake and enjoy the evening interacting with local shan people and testing the local snacks. Overnight in Kyaing Tong.(Dinner is an additional option)

 

Day 7 - Hill Tribes Villages - In the morning you will visit the market in Kyaing-Ton to buy necessities for yourself and for tribal people. A drive to a hill foot will start the day's wonders in the land of hill tribes. A soft tracking will lead you to Ahkka village where people wear silver headdress and interesting costumes, a primitive village of Ann tribe where you will find your self in a different world, also you will be visiting a Christian small village of Ahkka and witness the village Church, you will also visit a Palaung and Lahu colorful tribe village if the time allows. The whole day program is lifestyle study tour and you will never forget this very day in your life. Transfer back to Kyaing-Tong and overnight there. (Dinner is an additional option)

 

Day 8 - Kyaing Ton & Inle Lake - The morning tour will bring you to some interesting Shan monasteries, Shan traditional relief lacquer ware workshop, A large Roman Catholic Church and boarding school and colorful market place. Refresh in hotel and afternoon transfer for flight to Heho and then further to Inle Lake . You will be transferred to your hotel in the Lake by small yet comfort motor-boats. Overnight on the Lake Inle . (Lunch & Dinner are additional option)

 

Day 9 - Inle Lake - After breakfast, your beautiful tour will start on the natural paradise of Inle. Day 10 - The Golden Rock - Morning transfer to Heho for flight to Yangon and then further drive to Kimpun camp (Kyaik-Hto). Now you will board the larger truck together with local pilgrims for uphill trip to Kyaik-Hti-Yoe (The Golden Rock Pagoda). You shall be tracking the hill for about 45 minutes to the pagoda. You will study the assorted lifestyles of the people along the route. The pagoda itself is a natural wonder balancing a the edge of a cliff against all natural forces. Overnight at Kyaik-Hti-Yoe. (Lunch & Dinner are additional option)

 

Day 11 - Bago & Yangon - In the morning, you will be coming down from Golden Rock the same route and drive back in the direction to Yangon . You will visit the former Mon royal capital of Bago on your way. You shall see the Buddhist monks studying and attending lectures at a large monastery, impress the beauty of a reclining Buddha before drive to Yangon . In Yangon, you still can find time for shopping of interesting souvenirs items from Myanmar . Overnight in Yangon . (Lunch & Dinner are additional option)

 

Day 12 - Farewell from Myanmar - You will be transferred for your international flight to your further or homebound journey. Myanmar bid you farewell and wishing to see you again. End of our service.

 

 

 

 

Note:
  • Beach extensions to Ngapali or Ngwe Saung can be arranged before or after the sightseeing tours. However, we recommend beach holidays after the normal tours.
  • You shall be accompanied by our local throughout tour guide (or) station guide (except for beach extensions) and they will operate and conduct your tour to be a memorable one.
